What is the Voyager Club?
The Voyager Club is a vibrant community of students and adults who passionately believe that the future of humankind lies beyond the confines of Earth. Committed to advancing the cause of human space exploration, our members strive to push the boundaries of knowledge into a new era of discovery. Inspired by the words of the visionary Carl Sagan, "Somewhere out there something incredible is waiting to be known," we embrace the belief that our destiny as a species is intertwined with the mysteries of the cosmos.
At the heart of the Voyager Club's mission is the firm conviction that by uniting our efforts and setting aside our divisions, we can chart a course towards a brighter future for all. We recognize that the challenges of space exploration are vast and complex, requiring collaboration and cooperation across borders, disciplines, and generations. Through a range of initiatives, from educational programs through the Voyager Academy, monthly meetings, and volunteering at our local space centers, we strive to foster a spirit of unity and collaboration that brings us closer to unlocking the wonders of the universe.
The Voyager Club serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, inspiring innovation, and nurturing the next generation of space enthusiasts. By engaging in discussions, organizing events, and supporting each other's endeavors, we create a vibrant community that fuels the collective imagination and fuels our shared commitment to exploring the final frontier.
Together, we embrace the audacious spirit of the Voyagers, daring to dream and taking bold steps towards a future where humanity reaches for the stars.

The Young Astronauts Club
Grades 4-6
Coming Soon!
The Young Astronauts Club nurtures the passion for space and science fiction among students in grades 4 to 6. The club meets once a month at the Christa McAuliffe Space Center. These meetings serve as an engaging platform for young minds to delve into the wonders of space while understanding the significance of excelling in their math and science classes at school.
At the heart of the Young Astronauts Club experience are the thrilling starship simulator missions. These captivating missions not only fuel the students' imaginations through the use of science fiction, but also reinforce their knowledge of space exploration. By integrating the educational aspect of space with the allure of fantastical storytelling, these simulated missions provide an immersive experience that ignites curiosity and deepens understanding.
Through the Young Astronauts Club, students are encouraged to excel academically. By emphasizing the importance of good grades and setting goals, the club fosters a sense of determination and purpose.
The Young Astronauts Club serves as a launchpad for young dreamers, instilling in them the belief that their love for space and science fiction can be translated into real-world achievements and contributions.
The Young Astronauts Club will begin enrolling members in the winter of 2023.  For Further Information contact Victor Williamson. [email protected]

The Voyager Academy
The Voyager Academy is the Voyager Club's educational outreach program sponsored by the Christa McAuliffe Space Center and The Space Place at Renaissance Academy in Lehi.  The Voyager Academy offers an array of classes and workshops exclusively to members of the Voyager Club. With a strong emphasis on immersive learning experiences, the academy provides students with unique opportunities to explore their interests and talents in the realm of space and experiential simulations.
Among the current courses, students can engage in Drama and Acting classes tailored specifically for the Space Center's experiential starship simulator missions. By honing their performance skills, participants bring an extra layer of authenticity to their simulated space adventures. The Coding class delves into the intricacies of After Effects, Blender, and Unity, empowering students to harness the power of technology to enhance the programs offered at the CMSC.
The Voyager Academy also offers an Engineering and Maintenance course, where students become imagineers, envisioning and crafting new props for the starship simulators, as well as repairing existing equipment. Additionally, the Writing for Simulations class explores the art of storytelling, enabling students to craft narratives that captivate and educate participants in the simulations.
Looking to the future, the Voyager Academy has ambitious plans to expand its curriculum to encompass the art and science of creating experiential simulations that bridge the gap between science and humanities. By integrating various disciplines, the academy aims to create dynamic and engaging learning experiences that inspire a deep appreciation for both the scientific and humanistic aspects of space exploration.
